WHAT IS ARTV?

Based on the philosophy that people change the world through a better understanding of the events that take place around us, and as a community based TV media group, Actively Radical TV strives to:

a) create an alternative space for the broadcast and distribution of alternative news, current affairs and political analysis from a grassroots perspective;

b) play an active role in the building of the social movements.

Actively Radical TV has been broadcasting on local Sydney Community TV for over twelve years. ARTV Programs take up a range of issues including Indigenous, local community, workers' rights, environmental, civil liberties, racism, international solidarity, refugee rights, public education, public health, public transport and housing and more… ARTV films rallies and demonstrations, public meetings, community events.

We provide training and equipment for members who volunteer their time and help with program production.
